It’s been five months since I’ve touched this blog. Boy how time flies! With school and a baby, life is full! So as things get rolling again around here, I want to talk a bit about mindset, because how we approach fitness impacts our experience of it.
My goal for each and every one of you, beyond getting in incredible shape, is that you enjoy your journey. Mainstream fitness wants us to believe that we can have things right away, like 5-minute abs, but the body simply doesn’t work that way. Things take time.
I remember four years ago when I first decided I wanted to do a handstand, I believed if I had my hands on the ground and kicked off I’d magically stick there upside-down. Four years and many mistakes later, I can now hold a freestanding handstand for a few seconds, on a good day. That journey was much longer than I thought it would be, but it was so worthwhile, because every day my relationship with my body grew.
Thankfully, your journey doesn’t have to take as long as mine! I’m here to share with you what I have learned by doing things the wrong way, so you don’t have to.
So join me as together we discover how to make your body thrive. You were made to be strong, to feel good, and to move well, and it isn’t hard. No matter what age you are, you can and should feel at home in your body. Trust me, every day will be better than the last.
